Samantha Holland PT, DPT

“Wellness and healing are my passion. I feel so grateful for the opportunity to share my passion as a provider at Atlanta PT to improve the physical health of my patients, but also empower them through education and understanding. Building rapport and having the time to show genuine compassion is a fundamental aspect of my therapeutic process. I hope to impart my enthusiasm for health to my patients as well as bring to light how the mind-body connection influences their symptoms.”

Atlanta PT is excited to welcome Dr. Samantha Holland to the team!  Samantha Holland began her educational journey toward becoming a DPT at the University of Texas at Austin where she majored in Exercise Science with a Minor in Biology. Samantha was also a collegiate springboard and platform diver all 4 years representing the Longhorn Women’s Swimming and Diving team. Her foundations for the appreciation of physical health and body awareness began with competitive athletics. She was faced with injury at times throughout her career and gained appreciation for how appropriate rehab facilitated performance.

Dr. Holland completed her Doctor of Physical Therapy at the University of St. Augustine- Austin, and since graduation, has achieved advanced training in manual therapy obtaining the Manual Therapy Certification (MTC), Dry Needling, Functional Manual Therapy through the Institute of Physical Art, and in Cranio-Facial (TMJ/TMD) courses offered through the University of St. Augustine. She plans to test for the Cranio-Facial Certification (CFC) soon.

Clinically, Samantha has always practiced in the outpatient, primarily orthopedic setting with an emphasis on manual therapy. She treats a wide range of conditions from return to sport and post-op to chronic pain and spinal patients (and all joints in between). She also specializes in the treatment of TMJ/TMD and headaches from the aspect of upper body postural correction, manual techniques, dry needling, and recognizing life-stressors that may be contributing to the condition. Samantha is also an advocate for her patients being actively involved in their recovery, and she strongly encourages her patients to find ways to integrate wellness into their lives even after physical therapy.

Samantha enjoys wellness in her own life as well! This includes hiking and exploring nature with her fiancé Sam and their dog Koda, cooking and exploring Atlanta food, spin classes, yoga, art, and spending time with her family.
