” Dr. Samantha Holland is amazing! She helped me with my chronic TMJ pain that I almost had surgery before seeing her. She changed my life and my pain level. I just might have to fly to Atlanta to have her work on my TMJ!”
I have had a significant number of soft tissue issues over the years. I have been to the standard physical therapy places where the the PT is seeing 3 people at the same time. The standard PT is fine if you are recovering from injury/surgery and it is a matter of strengthening to recover. I have had 13 orthopedic surgeries over my life so I am familiar with the standard protocol of PT. The past few years have been brutal for me as I have a sit down job, which I love, and was getting to the point where I couldn’t do it much longer. I had MRI’s on my back which revealed joint and a disc bulge, but both the Doctor and PT agree was not anything which couldn’t be managed. However, I was still in a lot of pain/tightness in my musculoskeletal portion of my back and hip flexors. Katie Moise suggested to try dry needling to reduce/eliminate trigger points from my back. I was still having pain issues into my groin and leg. Katie did some more research and found a connection between the obliques and groin pain and has been dry needling that area of my body and into my thigh. She has found a significant number of trigger points through the dry needling process. I am improving under Katie’s care dramatically. I still have more therapy ahead of me, but I cannot say enough great things about Katie (Seth has helped also)! I don’t believe I would still be working if it weren’t for AtlantaPT, as I was getting to the point where working (as much as I love my job -been there 35 years) was so uncomfortable, I was contemplating quitting the job I loved. As mentioned earlier, having gone through 13 orthopedic surgeries, I know a good Physical Therapist when I see one. Katie is the best PT I have been to in my life. She is extremely knowledgeable and aware of the latest therapy. Katie works one-on-one with you to get to the core of the issue you have. I wouldn’t go anywhere else and am looking forward to a full recovery. If you have soft tissue pain or joint issue, which is perplexing to your MD/DO, go to the people at AtlantaPT. If you need trigger point therapy, Katie is the best!!!!
Several months ago I suffered multiple fractures of the pelvis and sacrum, along with some associated neurological problems in the pelvic area. Kelly is the most knowledgeable and personable Physical Therapist I have ever worked with, and because of her therapeutic and conscientious approach I am almost fully recovered. She also is one of the kindest people I have ever met. Atlanta PT is now the only Physical Therapy Group that I will ever go to in the future. Also, the staff is just wonderful & the facility is immaculate & welcoming.
Tony Fox helped me recover from surgery resulting from a broken ankle. I am very happy with my results and the progress I have made. I couldn’t have done it without Tony’s help! He is very knowledgeable, his approach is thorough and he really cared about my progress. I highly recommend Atlanta PT and Tony Fox.
I wish I could give them higher than a 5. My broken elbow has been fully recovered. My Therapist was awesome and saved the mobility of my elbow. The facility and staff were tops. Highly recommend.
I wish I could give Mari more than 5 stars – she is that good. She is so experienced and skilled, and so incredibly diligent and caring. I have a rare condition that Mari was able to figure out and correct. It is a recurring condition and my specialist told me to go right to Mari when it returns. Mari is incredible and I am so lucky to have found her.

Very professional staff from front office to therapist. Well equipped and clean. Tony Fox was very knowledgeable, friendly and kind. Very encouraging and genuinely concerned with my progress. I am thrilled with my range of motion now and know Tony’s plan of action is greatly responsible for it.

I came with paternal femoral syndrome. Dr. Tony Fox remedied my pain within 10 days and also gave me exercises to prevent reoccurances. The staff was very friendly and the facility was clean. I would recommend to anyone.

I have been seeing Dr. Mari Smith the last 8 weeks for balance issues at AtlantaPT in Smyrna. I have had very positive experiences with a number of their PTs over the last few years, and my sessions with Mari, learning about the vestibular system, are no exception. She is knowledgeable, creative, a great communicator, and delights in seeing her patients respond to treatment. I have appreciated her holistic approach to my somewhat unusual cluster of symptoms. She combines her caring spirit with a strong passion for her work, which is such a benefit for her patients. I have enjoyed the experience of rehabbing on the Alter G treadmill and highly recommend it for building strength to increase mobility. The office staff is pleasant, organized, and welcoming and the environment is peaceful and pleasant. I am grateful to have been referred there.

I was suffering from vertigo for the first time ever and from all the anxiety that goes along with it. After getting the diagnosis at an urgent care center I went to an ENT clinic which basically merely confirmed the diagnosis, prescribed some steroids and told me to see a physical therapist.
Since I can’t drive due to the vertigo, I do some quick research to find someplace as close as possible (realizing it’s not necessarily the best strategy in choosing a healthcare provider) I called One on One (now AtlantaPT) and was able to get an appointment just a couple of hours later.
I explained everything to Dr. Mari Smith. She listened patiently and explained what was happening to me and what course of action we should take and ran some simple tests/exercises.
She was convinced that my vertigo was due to congestion in my ear and would not be helped by physical therapy but that I should get relief from the course of steroids.
She was right.
What makes her remarkable is that she was so patient, knowledgeable, understanding, friendly and reassuring. I never felt like a number or a dollar sign. It seems that she is a healer for all the right reasons.
Even though she realized that physical therapy was not going to help me, she was able to help me by establishing a course of action.
I am a fan.

After having very little success at another Physical Therapy company I found One on One (now Atlanta PT) . What a difference! One on One is well organized with friendly staff. I was very impressed with the knowledge of my therapist Dr Alexis Lowery. She evaluated what I needed and provided an excellent program that produced results. I would highly recommend One on One to anyone.

Alexis was incredible! I have a re-occurring back injury and she worked me back to full mobility. I feel more confident in my abilities when it comes to working out and the knowledge she passed on will be information that I implement for a lifetime. The care and time that goes into each patient is unparalleled to any other physical therapy facility I’ve been to. Highly recommend checking them out!

I was in tremendous pain during the last Holiday season and I was taking more Advil than I was comfortable with. One of my business partners recommended One on One (now AtlantaPT) and I finally went. Dr. Tony Fox was assigned to me and what a great thing that was. He immediately knew what my issues were and how to treat me. Over the next few weeks, we underwent my treatment and I came out feeling better than I ever have. If you need help and just don’t know where to turn, please try One on One. They are total pros and will get you back on your feet in no time. Thanks, again, Tony.

Amazing staff and atmosphere. Tony Fox was my physical therapist. He did an amazing job with my bruised rotator cuff recovery. This problem had been bothering me for years and a few months with Tony solved the problem. The staff really cares about your recovery progress and are very knowledgeable. Highly recommend. Hopefully I don’t need to, but if I ever have any issues that require physical therapy, this is where I’ll be.

After years of dealing with severe constipation issues, I was referred to Jessica Reale by the Mayo Clinic for pelvic floor physical therapy. After several months of working with Jessica my issues have virtually disappeared. I couldn’t give Jessica and One-on-One (now AtlantaPT) a stronger recommendation!

I went to One on One (aka Atlanta PT) for several months to help alleviate pain/injury from my scoliosis, which I’ve had since I was in middle school, and for injury remediation/prevention for running. I am an avid runner and had tried several different PTs and chiropractors looking for someone who could help reduce my back pain and recurring nagging little injuries that were hampering my running. I worked with Tony and he was fantastic! First off, each appointment is literally one-on-one with the PT. This is far different from other PTs I’ve been to, where you’re one of 3+ people and you spend a good part of the appointment sitting on a table with an ice pack, for example. I can do that at home for free. Tony takes a great holistic approach to trying to fix the problem and prevent it going forward. We did dry needling to help with immediate relief for my back/hip pain but spent most of the time going over exercises for me to do at home. He started me off with the basics, doing modified planks/side planks/bridges then gradually increased the difficulty. He would check my form and help me make sure that I was doing everything correctly. I still do these exercises several times a week and have had NO more issues. I ran my fastest half-marathon last fall with no injuries. This is amazing since I’d had to abandon a few races I’d signed up for before I started working with Tony due to injury. The prices/rates are extremely reasonable. And when I felt like I had “graduated” from PT and was ready to stop, there was no pressure. I can’t sing enough praises for them!!!

I started at One on One Physical Therapy (now AtlantaPT) for my lower back pain about a year ago.
I was really having problems with my lower back in my everyday life, and desperately needed some relief..
I was recommended to One on One by two doctors that had been very pleased with them working with some of their other patients..
I cannot tell you what a difference Alexis has made in treating my back issues !!!
She is amazing, and I am truly grateful for all Alexis has done to help me….
I can honestly say that I highly recommend One on One Physical Therapy to everyone needing any kind of physical therapy, and wants the very best results ever !!!!
They are the “BEST”

I am incredibly pleased with One on One Physical Therapy (now AtlantaPT) , and Dr. Seth Oberst in particular. I was referred by my doctor for lower back pain, which had been getting worse over the last few years. Seth figured out what was going wrong on the first visit, and was able to explain it to me in a way I could understand, and we were able to have a good conversation about what was happening physically. I was not a great or gung ho initial patient, mostly because I couldn’t believe the problem wasn’t more complicated, and that the solution could be so simple. But Seth convinced me with his confidence, and I followed his exercise plan . He started out slow, and worked with me on adding more exercises and adjusting the regimen as I progressed over the next few months. He was accepting when I had off weeks and didn’t do what I should, and kept me focused on moving forward. The program worked, the exercises keep me flexible and free of pain, and I’m still amazed. I can run again. I can put my shoes on without pain. I will also say the staff is top notch, and fielded calls to my primary care doc, as well as insurance issues. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Dr. Seth Oberst knows his stuff.

One on One Physical Therapy (now AtlantaPT) provides a safe, clean, and tranquil environment for its patients. I had a very pleasant experience with my therapist, Seth Oberst. Seth was knowledgeable, professional, and personable. He listened patiently to the history of my recurring knee pain, gave consistent feedback about my exercises, and took the time to thoroughly explain (and sometimes re-explain) both my injury and exercises to me. He never bombarded me with unrealistic therapy goals, and as a result, I usually did my “homework.” In fact, I’m actually still doing many of the exercises that he recommended. I also appreciated that Seth used a more holistic approach to treating my knee instead of just focusing on the injury itself (which was very different than every other PT I’ve had). I learned a great deal about myself while working with Seth and responded very favorably to his treatment plan. Finally, he didn’t recommend more services than were required to resolve my issue, which (my wallet and) I really appreciated. I’d recommend him to anyone in need of a PT.

My journey through insidious, chronic hip pain has been challenging and debilitating. What had started with a pinching sensation during squats spiraled quickly into MRI’s, surgery and six different physical therapists who provided me with labels of dysfunction, but ultimately, no resolution to my pain. After two years of failed treatment, I started to lose hope.
Naturally, I was doubtful when Dr. Oberst was recommended to me. As a formerly active Crossfitter, I desperately wanted to be back at the gym, so I reluctantly scheduled a consultation. From my first appointment, Seth’s professionalism, skill and empathy were apparent. His refreshing optimism for my improvement was paired with a tailored plan of painless exercises to scaffold my restoration. In the first few weeks, my hip pain not only decreased, but I was breathing better, had increased range of motion, and greater confidence in my movement.
Dr. Oberst’s use of research-based, efficient practices have helped me to reclaim the athleticism I had lost, but his innate ability to also coax away my fear of pain and re-injury has been equally empowering. I am now not only squatting comfortably and with better form, I am on my way back to the gym and on with my life. I look forward to continuing to improve under his guidance and expertise. My only regret is that I did not meet him sooner!

I had a great experience at One on One Physical Therapy (now AtlantaPT). I went to Jessica for pelvic rehab and to work on an abdominal separation (rectus diastasis) after having my kids. My diastasis improved significantly as did my other issues. I then worked with Seth to better integrate my core into my running as everything had shifted so much after my pregnancies and to improve my gait. The changes we made have allowed me to enjoy one of my favorite activities again and I feel much better all around. Their staff was wonderful too.

I had a chronic pinch in my hip flexor and a throbbing in my upper hamstring.
I really thought it was old age but I thought I would give physical therapy a try.
My Core pilates teacher Julia referred me to Tony. OMG! His stretching techniques,
identification of trigger points, dry needling and a little bit of homework relieved both pain areas. I am pain free without even doing any stretches at home anymore. If my pain comes back I’m going straight to Tony.

Within three hours of being referred by a physician to One On One Therapy (now AtlantaPT), the staff called to set an appointment for an evaluation. During the assessment, the next morning as fortune would have it Dr. Lowery attended me.
Dr. Lowery is a consummate professional having been trained at two of the Nations most prestigious universities. While confident, self-assured, astute, and observant, Dr. Lowery is personable and rarely exhibits anything less than a welcoming smile.
Professionally, Dr. Lowery addressed my concerns through a series of therapy sessions that brought moderate pain relief, flexibility, improved range of motion, and a sense of hope and encouragement after years of pain and frustration. Since the therapy additional physical training has been undertaken with promising results.
It is rare, but occasionally possible, to meet a professional grounded in science and medicine but retaining compassion and sensitivity and good ole fashion common courtesy and graciousness. Dr. Lowery is this individual.

I came in searching for a way to recover from pregnancy and to try to repair my core. Jessica was amazing and helped me address the whole scope of what was needed and helped me regain strength. She identified the best way for me to move forward to a workout regime and set me up for success of taking care of myself. I was so discouraged before I started working with Jessica, but she was so knowledgeable and put so much effort into my recovery. I am so thankful to have worked with her and I highly recommend both her and the practice!

After several months of trying to fix my lower back injury on my own I was recommended to One-on-One (now AtlantaPT). My experience here was highly satisfying. I’ve never been to a physical therapist before, but I have heard that at all other places there is no personal interaction between patient and therapist. At One-on-One, that is not the case. They have therapists who are skilled in multiple therapies to fit each individual’s needs. They are more than happy to work with and interact with you and want to help you get out of their care as safely and as quickly as possible. Dr. Jessica Reale treated me and provided me with many stretches and exercises to help me recover from my injury and get right back into the sports and activities I love in under 3 months!
